The announcement of Vice Media going bankrupt reminded of the one thing I really loved about Vice. Its was the old HBO distributed Vice News Tonight. By far the best 30 minute news show I ever watched. Not a lot of spin or talking heads, just reporting from around the world in a well put together format.
HBO dropped Vice News Tonight late in 2019, which was a shame. It came back like a year later on Vice network, but it wasn’t the same. A lot of the reporters had already left and it took more of a different angle. The reboot just didn’t work as well.
I really long for that old show…. Like I long for another season of How to Make it in America.
