Impending Workforce Shifts

Impending Workforce Shifts

Thoughts About Connect

Yesterday I read this from IBM on AI 😬 : Of the company’s 26,000 non-customer facing roles, Krishna said he “could easily see 30% of that getting replaced by AI and automation over a five-year period.”

I can see this… there are so many roles in big companies where it seems like one person could be doing the job of three. I honestly think this was achievable pre AI, but AI will be the excuse companies use to justify it happening. Just like when the economy turns and companies use the opportunity to do FTE reductions, except this time it will be on steroids.

Capturing Ideas

Going to be giving a talk on how I do PKM/Second Brain stuff and was reminded of this quote:

“Your mind is for having ideas, not holding them.” – David Allen.

Love this one, and it places a renewed desire to make it as easy as possible to put ideas somewhere without dropping them.

Hazard, as a verb 🤯

Ex: ”She wouldn't hazard a guess about the meaning of the word.”

Heard this in an audio book and I definitely need to find more ways to use.

This piece captures my thoughts and perspectives at the time of writing. As I continue to learn and grow, my views are subject to change, without notice.
