Thoughts About Connect
I heard about these and it helped frame some of what I’ve been pondering lately.
Parallel - The ‘do more than one startup at once’. Commonly implemented as a studio or lab.
Serial - Doing a new thing in a new space.
Repeat - Same playbook or space as last company, potentially tweaked just a bit.
For some reason, simply having labels helps me think through what I’ve been thinking of.
I really want to do Parallel projects, but one might be enough. And maybe projects don’t have to be startups…

Project idea - Course Forecast
I’m a big map guy. Really since 7th grade geography with Mrs. Mebane… So, when I was told about windy.com a few days ago, I was instantly entranced with the maps visualizations.
Previously, I wrote about a beach finder that would incorporate wind, but I also think a similar project that recommends golf courses based on wind conditions would be awesome. There are some fantastic courses within 1.5 hours of Lisbon, but I would choose not to play a course if the wind was going to be too strong.
